2020-12-30

China's policy of banning the addition of antibiotics in feed has been implemented for half a year. In this half year, some people in the industry said that after the prohibition of adding antibiotics in feed, animal intestinal bacterial diseases increased, diarrhea increased, production performance was challenged, and at the same time, the processing cost per ton of feed also increased in varying degrees; while some people said that the prohibition of adding antibiotics in feed affected the production performance of animals Not big, farmers' complaints have not increased.

In the past six months, has the breeding industry adapted to the changes of feed? Based on this question, we designed three related questions and conducted a market survey, which collected feedback from 102 respondents across the country.

Answer: Acidifiers (80%), essential oils (53%), probiotics (48%) and enzyme preparations (47%) are the four most recognized products in the current livestock and poultry diets.

In this survey, we can see the following core contents:

Clostridium perfringens is the most important intestinal bacterial disease in poultry, and pathogenic Escherichia coli is the most important intestinal bacterial disease in pigs. After the prohibition of adding antibiotics in feed, diarrhea of animals increases, production performance is affected, and complaints from farmers increase in varying degrees.

Acidifier, plant essential oil, probiotics and enzyme preparation are the most recognized four additives; 2-3 additives are generally selected for reasonable combination in broiler feed scheme, while 3-4 additives are generally selected in pig feed scheme.

Most feed companies will refer to the scheme provided by the supplier to optimize the feed scheme, which is suitable for their own enterprises. At the same time, they will make appropriate adjustments according to the specific situation.
